Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia opposed the new measures against Iran

Moscow supports the continuation of efforts to engage Tehran in dialogue and believes that additional measures by the UN Security Council should not develop long.

Russian Foreign Ministry on Saturday distributed a message on the basis of 19 September meeting in Washington "Six" (Britain, Germany, China, Russia, USA, France) on Iran.

"There was a discussion of the situation around Iran nuclear program. The meeting reaffirmed the commitment politico-diplomatic settlement based on the updated proposals "Six transferred to Iran in June", - stated in the message.

"The Russian side stressed the need for continued efforts to engage Tehran in a constructive dialogue to start the negotiation process. In this context, we were against development at this stage, additional measures from the UN Security Council ", - the RF communication.
